Although Legal Action of Wisconsin receives funding from many different sources, including Legal Services Corporation, the Wisconsin Trust Account Foundation, government grants and private foundation grants, it depends very heavily on private donations to the Equal Justice Fund campaign. Since 1997, individual attorneys and law firms have pledged more than $1 million in unrestricted funds to legal services through the Equal Justice Fund.
