Ombuds
Program
The State of Wisconsin has
set up the Ombuds Program to provide help to HMO consumers with questions
or concerns. An ombudsman will investigate and help to resolve problems
or complaints that you have about the care or services that you receive
from your HMO. The Ombudsman can also help you understand your rights and
responsibilities as a consumer.
You can reach the Ombuds
Program
by calling 800-760-0001.
Call the Ombuds Program
when:
-
You have questions about
your rights as an enrollee.
-
Your HMO has denied, reduced
or stopped your medical services.
-
You are unable to get a referral
or a service from your HMO.
-
You need help in filing a
grievance or complaint.
-
You get improperly billed
for a Medicaid covered service.
-
You are not sure whom to
call.
